Remote Deposit or Back Office Conversion is the hottest topic in ACH Processing.  The term relates to the process of converting checks received at the point of sale or checks received by billers in the mail. In these processes the checks are converted in the office using a check imager or scanner and uploaded to our servers via a web connection.

CHECK 21 REMOTE DEPOSIT: Any check received via mail or in person can be electronically deposited into a merchant’s bank account using a check scanner attached to web connected PC. Just upload the check image and data and our system routes the check for deposit into the proper account.  In Check 21 Remote Deposit the item actually remains as a paper check in the banking system even though it is moved through the system electronically.

ACCOUNTS RECEIVABLE CONVERSION: Checks received in the mail or at a payment center can NOW be converted into electronic items to debit the customer account and credit the merchant account.  The check items are scan by an imager connected to our WEB based conversion system.  Once inspected for accuracy the checks are uploaded to our servers.  We debit the bank account of the check writer the next morning and credit the account of the merchant.
